SVLC and COVID-19

Dear Clients,

Your safety and care are our greatest concern.

We cannot serve you with "skilled and caring service" which is our company motto, if you are not kept safe while visiting our clinic. And we, must be safe also, in order to provide you with our professional services. This is why the Ministry of Health and the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists have set out requirements, suggestions and principles, to serve you during this COVID-19 pandemic.

We have developed both policies and procedures for the following:

Infection Prevention and Control Standards
Point of Care Risk Assessment
Screening of all Patients and Essential Visitors
Personal Protective Equipment
Physical Distancing
Virtual Care
Cleaning and Disinfecting the Clinic, including furniture, doorknobs and high contact surfaces
Cleaning Equipment as well as assessment and therapy materials
Assessment and therapy adaptations
Daily clinician temperature measurement

When visiting the clinic, the following will be required of you:

Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds in the public washroom on the second floor while awaiting your appointment
Wait in the hallway until you are called into the clinic for your appointment
Sanitize your hands
Wear a mask
Physically distance
Answer a COVID questionnaire
Temperature measurement
Avoid unnecessary touching of surfaces
Sanitize hands before and after removing or adjusting your mask
Children age 6 and up must wear a mask
All adult clients, parents, spouses, grandparents and other visitors must wear a mask
Only 3 related family members can be in the clinic at a time
Only 2 unrelated visitors can be in the clinic at a time
Restricted in-clinic visits, virtual care provided
